I have a strong and extensive knowledge of alternative medicine with the main interest in manual therapies. I’ve been a practitioner for 7 years, prior to becoming a trained therapist, I was a qualified chef specialising in healthy cuisine in Sydney and decided to take my desire in healthy living forward and began my studies in 2001 at the Australasian College of Natural Therapies and University of New England, Thereafter studying at Nature Care College.
I hold qualifications in Remedial Massage which involves sports massage, deep tissue, myofascial massage and relaxation massage. I also hold a Diploma of Energetics, Certificate of Human Health Science and Aromatherapy.
Therefore, during an appointment at Massage Therapies, we may incorporate one or more of the treatments, depending on what is required to address your needs. For example, myofascial therapy for instance combined with the use of essential oils is a great benefit in the treatment of upper shoulder pain and our knowledge of sports massage for strengthening and stretching the shoulders will help benefit the release of tension or pain.
The most beneficial and positive aspect of a massage is the holistic approach to therapeutic touch, efficiently delivering the required balance that you need, if that may be a muscular pain, tightness = (range of motion) stress, feeling tired or how you approach a healthy lifestyle.
